Blue Note: The Jazz-Inspired WordPress Theme for Writers and Bloggers

Blue Note, a new WordPress community theme for writers and bloggers, has been released. WordPress 6.3 "Lionel" is out with exciting features. Human Made is hosting an AI for WordPress event. New resources like WordPress.org/blocks and the Core Blocks Explorer are available. ZipWP, an AI-driven web builder, promises to create websites in just 60 seconds.

Blue Note, the second WordPress community theme, has been released on the WordPress themes directory 1. This theme is designed specifically for writers and bloggers. It features an elegant and fun block style inspired by jazz and the famous record label “Blue Note Records”. Community themes are part of a new effort to provide high-quality themes for free, and everyone is encouraged to contribute to this initiative on the Community Themes GitHub repository.

WordPress 6.3 “Lionel” was recently released with a captivating overview video showcasing its numerous new features 2. The video offers a two-minute guided tour of WordPress’ expanded customization options, streamlined Site Editor interface, pattern creation and management, as well as the new Command Palette in action.

Human Made will be hosting a second installment of its AI for WordPress event series on September 14 3. This event aims to delve deeper into real-world developments in AI, WordPress, and content publishing. It also takes time to explore the broader societal, ethical, and technological changes brought about by the rapid advancement of AI.

A new page has been created on WordPress.org called WordPress.org/blocks. Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive source that highlights the ease and power of blocks within WordPress and as a framework for future projects 4.

The WPHelpers team has introduced a helpful tool called the WordPress Core Blocks Explorer. This tool assists developers in utilizing the Gutenberg block editor effectively. It provides valuable insights for working with WordPress core blocks 5.

In today’s video presentation, Jamie Marsland from Pootlepress takes a deep dive into ZipWP, an AI-driven web builder for WordPress. ZipWP claims to be able to create a website in just 60 seconds using artificial intelligence technology6. We also discuss who is thriving in the competitive field of WordPress development and delve into some challenges they face. Finally, we explore how ZipWP aims to address these challenges and provide a solution.
