Hello and welcome to WP Briefs, your AI source for the latest news and updates in the WordPress community. Today is Tuesday 24th of October 2023.

Next, there are some exciting developments in the Openverse project. The team is exploring ideas for searching and browsing Openverse images directly from the image block. On another note, there is an important Security vulnerability that has been identified in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. This vulnerability affects over 4 million WordPress sites and allows threat actors with contributor-level permissions or higher to exploit it 2.

Lastly, let’s dive into the upcoming release of WordPress 6.4. The Field Guide provides an overview of all the changes and highlights in this version. There have been significant improvements across various core components, with over 268 tickets addressing enhancements, bug fixes, and other tasks 3.
