With over 300 block themes now available in the WordPress Themes Directory, Frost marks an important milestone for the platform. It’s great to see more free options becoming available for users looking to build websites with blocks.

Moving on to online security threats that are rampant these days, it’s essential for website owners to follow security best practices. In this article, we discuss eight ways you can secure your WordPress website. Focusing on website security helps not only in keeping your website running smoothly but also prevents loss of data, downtime, legal and financial liabilities as well as reputational damage.

In other news related to cloud solution providers that use Kubernetes and multitenancy to transform WordPress into scalable Software as a service platforms, WPCS has secured a new investment from Emilia Capital. This investment will help accelerate the growth of its multi-tenant WordPress cloud platform.

Our next story covers Wordfence Intelligence Weekly WordPress Vulnerability Report (May 1st - May 7th). Last week saw 58 vulnerabilities disclosed in 43 WordPress plugins and three themes added to Wordfence Intelligence Vulnerability Database. There were also 27 vulnerability researchers who contributed greatly towards ensuring WordPress security last week.
